On 21 December 2022 BGaming reported that Elvis Frog TRUEWAYS had made the shortlist for Online Slot of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards London 2023. The wording of the announcement is careful: the game was selected as a nominee, which means it is one of the entries being considered, not a title holder. Nothing in the material we reviewed says the game went on to take the category, so this page describes a nomination and nothing more.
What the announcement says
- The studio said it was celebrating a place on the shortlist of the London edition of the awards for 2023.
- The ceremony is described as bringing together the online and land-based sides of the industry. The organiser is named as the trade publication Gambling Insider, with an accounting firm overseeing the voting.
- The game was described as having launched in autumn 2022 as the follow-up to Elvis Frog in Vegas, built on the TRUEWAYS mechanic with a figure of more than 260,000 winning lines.
- The full list of finalists was due in a shortlist magazine on 12 January, and winners were due to be announced on 6 February.
Where the figures differ
The press text speaks of more than 260,000 lines, while the studio's game page and rules give an exact maximum of 262,144 ways. The two are consistent in size; the second is simply the precise number. We use the exact figure when we describe the game itself, and the rounded one only when we are reporting the announcement.
Why it matters for a player
A shortlisting tells you that an industry panel considered the title notable. It is not a measure of how a game will treat your balance. The published return for Elvis Frog TRUEWAYS is 96.7%, the Players Hub labels its volatility as very high, and the listed top multiplier is 5,000 times the bet with a maximum win of €250,000. These are long-run and ceiling figures, and none of them is changed by a nomination. A very high volatility label points to uneven results with long quiet stretches, so a spending limit set before you start is sensible. The free demo is a no-cost way to judge whether the format suits you. The full specification is on our Elvis Frog TRUEWAYS page.
