The Elvis Frog name now covers three BGaming slots released over roughly two and a half years. They share a character and a Coin Respin idea, but they are not reskins of one another. Mechanics, bonus structures and the published numbers all shift from game to game. This article follows them in release order and sticks to what the studio publishes on its own pages: its public hub, its game pages, its rules documents and its news posts.
Snapshot of the published figures
These are the headline figures from the studio’s hub cards. We leave out the short-window live figures that the hub also shows, since those change constantly and describe recent play rather than the game design.
- Elvis Frog in Vegas: released May 13, 2020; RTP 95.3%; maximum multiplier x2500; maximum win €250,000; volatility Medium-high.
- Aloha King Elvis: released July 22, 2021; RTP 94.98%; maximum multiplier x2000; maximum win €250,000; volatility Medium-high.
- Elvis Frog TRUEWAYS: released October 2022 (the hub lists October 20, the studio’s news post is dated October 21); RTP 96.7%; maximum multiplier x5000; maximum win €250,000; volatility Very-high.
Please note that the studio’s launch announcements for the second game quote slightly different rounded figures from the hub. For comparisons we follow the hub card throughout, because it is the structured listing for each game.
1. Elvis Frog in Vegas (May 2020)
The original is a 5×3 video slot with 25 paylines. Wins are formed by matching symbols on consecutive reels from left to right along an active line, and only the highest win on each line is paid. The Elvis Frog character is the Wild, replacing every symbol except the Scatter and Coin symbols.
Three Scatter stars on reels 1, 3 and 5 trigger five free spins. During this round, reels 2, 3 and 4 merge into one special reel that carries a Giant symbol, which the rules describe as made up of nine ordinary symbols and paying as if nine had landed. A Giant star during the round adds three further spins, and the rules describe this as unlimited.
The Coin Respin feature starts when six Coins land in one spin and can happen in the main game and in free spins. Coin values in this version range from x1 up to x100 of the bet. Mini, Major and Mega jackpots can be hit, with the Mega requiring all fifteen positions to be filled with coins. The original also includes a Gamble option after a main-game win: guess the colour of a face-down card to double the win, or the suit to quadruple it, with the round capped at a quarter of the maximum win. It is the only one of the three whose rules describe a Gamble round.
2. Aloha King Elvis (July 2021)
The sequel moves the frog to Hawaii. It keeps the 5×3 grid and 25 lines, but the bonus structure is reorganised.
Three Bonus symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 still trigger free spins, but now the player chooses between two versions. Special Guest Party gives five spins, converts reels 2, 3 and 4 into a special reel where a Giant symbol can land, and a Giant Bonus symbol adds three more spins. VIP Party gives eight spins in which only middle, high and coin symbols appear, and three Bonus symbols re-trigger eight further spins. Choosing between them is a real decision, because they play differently, although neither choice changes the underlying maths in a way that favours the player.
The Coin Respin round in this game starts with six coins and three respins, and any new coin re-triggers the respins. A Collect Coin can add up the values of the coins on screen. The jackpots are described in terms of lines: filling one horizontal line pays Mini, two lines pay Major and three lines pay Mega. The studio’s game page lists the jackpot multipliers as x20, x100 and x1000 of the bet. The Gamble round of the original is not part of this rules text.
On October 7, 2021, the studio announced two additions: Buy Bonus, which lets the player pay a displayed price to start either the free spins or the Coin Respin, and Chance x2.5, which raises the bet in exchange for better odds of triggering those bonus games. The rules state that the two cannot be active at the same time. Both depend on the operator’s licence, so you may not see them everywhere.
3. Elvis Frog TRUEWAYS (October 2022)
The third game is the biggest departure. It abandons paylines for the studio’s TRUEWAYS mechanic: six reels, each showing between two and eight symbols, with wins formed by adjacent symbols from left to right. The rules give the maximum as 262,144 ways to win; the studio’s news post describes it as more than 260,000.
The feature set changes accordingly:
- Scatters pay in any position from three symbols, and four, five or six trigger free spins: 12, 15 or 20 respectively. Extra Scatters during the round add more spins.
- Wilds appear only on reels 2 to 5. In free spins each Wild carries a multiplier of x2, x3 or x5, and the multipliers from a single spin are added together and applied to that spin’s wins.
- The Coin Respin round starts at six Coins, with a wider list of coin values topping out at x100 of the bet. The respin counter returns to three when a coin or a lightning symbol lands.
- The Lightning symbol is new. It appears only in the Coin Respin round and splits an area of the reels into two smaller, empty areas, creating room for further coins. If it lands in an already small area, a different filled area is chosen at random and split, with the win kept on both halves.
- The Mega Jackpot requires all 48 positions to be filled with coins.
- Buy Bonus is there, but the bet-increase option is called Chance x2 instead of x2.5, and again the two cannot be combined.
Our own rule of thumb: a lightning split gives the round more room, which can make it longer. It does not guarantee a bigger result, and the studio does not claim otherwise.
Reading the differences side by side
- Win structure: lines in the first two, ways in the third.
- Free spins: a single five-spin mode in the original, a choice of two modes in the sequel, a scatter-count-based tier with multiplier wilds in TRUEWAYS.
- Added options: a Gamble round only in the original; Buy Bonus and Chance in the later two.
- Volatility label: Medium-high for the first two, Very-high for the third.
- Recognition: the studio reported that TRUEWAYS was shortlisted for Online Slot of the Year at the Global Gaming Awards 2023. Shortlisted is not the same as winning, and we are not saying it won.
Which one should you try first?
There is no universal answer. If you like a simple, line-based format with a Gamble option, start with the original. If you want the Hawaiian theme and a choice of free spin rounds, try the sequel. If you want a new mechanic and are comfortable with a Very-high volatility label, try the third. All three have a free demo on their version pages, which is the safest way to compare them. Whichever you pick, remember that RTP is below 100% for each, so the casino keeps an edge over time and no feature, route or bet pattern removes it.
Gambling is for adults only (18+, or the legal age where you live). Features such as Buy Bonus can raise the speed at which a balance moves, so set limits first. Free, confidential support is linked in our footer, and the demo and availability block are on each version page.
